The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship is a federally funded scholarship program that is administered by state agencies. The Byrnes Scholarships
|
|
|
|
The James F. Byrnes Foundation Scholarships are living memorials to the memory of James Francis Byrnes and his wife, Maude Busch Byrnes, two of South Carolina's outstanding citizens of their times. Since Governor James F. Byrnes awarded the first scholarships in 1949, more than 1,000 young South Carolinians have been assisted in obtaining a college education. Scholarships are for four years (or less for students already in college) and are contingent upon the recipient's maintenance of adequate academic standing, personal involvement in the program for Byrnes Scholars and continuing need for financial assistance. Qualified high school or college students should submit completed applications by February 15 each year. New scholars are announced and May and the scholarships become effective for the school term beginning the following fall.

C G Fuller Scholarship
|

The C.G. Fuller Foundation Scholarship Program’s primary purpose is to assist high school students who would otherwise be unable to attend college. All scholarship applicants must be South Carolina residents, incoming freshman, demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and leadership qualities.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have the equivalent of a “B” or better GPA
- Score at least an 1100 on the SAT (math and verbal scores)
- Have a family income under $60,000
Each application must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Copy of High School Transcript
- Completed financial statement (included in the application).
- Recent photograph
- Copy of your parents most recent 1040 tax return
Completed applications, must be postmarked by April 1st. Please send the completed application and all required documents to:

Recipients will be chosen by the C.G. Fuller Foundation and will receive notification of the scholarship directly from C.G. Fuller.

N. Edgar Miles Scholarship Program
|
|
|
|
Open to students who are SC residents and graduating in the top 25% of their high school class. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be enrolled on a full time basis at a four-year college. The scholarship is up to $4,000 per year for four years.
Applications are made available through the Hebrew Orphan Society, PO Box 30011, Charleston, SC 29417-0011. The deadline to apply is May 1.

Goat Island Boat Club Scholarship
|
|
|
|
The Goat Island Boat Club is sponsoring a $1500 merit scholarship to either a high school senior who will be attending a higher learning institution in the fall or a student currently pursuing a degree in wildlife management, forestry, fisheries, marine biology, or other related field. Eligible high school seniors must reside in Clarendon, Calhoun, Orangeburg, Berkeley, or Sumter counties.
Applications must be postmarked by March 31st.

Phillip M. Fields Scholarship Award

|
|
The South Carolina Aquatic Plant Management Society seeks applications for its annual Phillip M. Fields Scholarship Award. Scholarship funds may be used by the recipient to cover costs associated with education and research expenses. Eligible applicants must be enrolled as full time undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited college or university in the United States. Course work or research in an area related to the biology, ecology or management of aquatic plants in the Southeast is also required. Radio & Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas Scholarship
|

|
|
The Radio & Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas (RTNDAC) Scholarship will be awarded to a rising junior or senior enrolled in a South Carolina college or university. Students must be pursuing a major course of study with emphasis in broadcast or electronic journalism. More information and application instructions are available on their website .

Available to students who graduated from Greenville County public high schools. These scholarships are based on financial need and academic ability. Applications are available from the Sirrine Scholarship Program, PO Box 2848, Greenville, SC 29602.

South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants Scholarships
|
|
|
|
The South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) awards scholarships to South Carolina residents who are rising juniors, seniors, or Master's Degree students in accounting at a SC college or university. Susan G. Komen for the Cure College Scholarship Award Program
|
|
|
|
The Susan G. Komen for the Cure College Scholarship Award Program offers college scholarships of up to $10,000 a year over a four-year period. Applicants must be the child of a parent who has died from breast cancer and plan to attend a state-supported college or university in their state of permanent residence. Watson-Brown Foundation Scholarships
|
|
|
|
The primary mission of the Watson-Brown Foundation is to provide college scholarships to area students based on merit and need. This internal scholarship program is entirely managed by the staff of the Foundation. Scholarship awards are decided by the Board of Trustees during its regular second quarter meeting. The Foundation awards individual annual scholarships of $3,000 and $5,000. Approximately 150 new scholarships and 200 renewal scholarships are awarded each year.
Scholarships are reserved for students from Georgia or South Carolina who attend four- year, accredited U.S. colleges and universities. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and current undergraduate students. To be considered, scholarship applications -- complete with required support documents -- must be postmarked by February 15.
