Room and Board

Room and Board costs include expenses for housing and food. For on-campus and off-campus students the weighted average room and board cost is $12,341*, which includes $8,635 for room(housing) and $3,706 for board(food). For students that indicated on the FAFSA living with parents, there is no room allowance, just the surveyed average off-campus board amount of $2,957.

Campus Housing has the complete list of on-campus rooms and costs. For a complete list of meal plans and costs, visit Campus Dining Services. Choosing a residence hall or meal plan that varies from the average will not affect a student's cost of attendance.

Students that live off campus are able to use their excess financial aid to pay for off campus living expenses. When we disburse financial aid, all institutional charges are covered first (which is usually tuition and fees and any on campus meal plans). Once those charges have been satisfied, the Treasurer’s Office will process the refunds of excess aid and those excess funds can be used to help with the student’s off campus living expenses.
