College of Charleston students can participate in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at Charleston Southern University. AFROTC Detachment 772, home of the Battling Bucs, specializes in providing an exciting and engaging officer training program that ensures you will receive all of the attention and training you will need to become a successful Air Force officer.

To participate in our program, you must be a full-time student at Charleston Southern University, the College of Charleston, the Citadel Night School, or Medical University of South Carolina. As part of our program, you will be given opportunities to develop leadership skills, become a dynamic follower, and be an effective manager. This is done to ensure we commission Second Lieutenants into the Air Force who have demonstrated sound leadership characteristics and met Air Force ROTC and degree requirements.
